Who we are

Originally founded at The Lawrenceville School, Arbre-itrary is an interscholastic nature writing that aims to bring student writing about nature to readers. Through publishing literature about the natural world, Arbre-itrary aims to empower young writers and inspire readers to step outside and admire our lively world.

Arbre-itrary is a publication that focuses on the admiration of natural beauty, whether it be the sea, the sky, or the land. With short stories, poems, and essays, Arbre-itrary aims to help readers grow in their love for our natural world and embrace its beauty.

In the fall of 2025, Isaac and Gabriel decided to expand the small club at Lawrenceville by connecting with passionate students from other schools around the nation. With each participating school acting as an independent chapter alongside the combined Arbre-itrary publication, Arbre-itrary aims to bring nature both to each respective school and to all with this website. Through building the website and writing more for Arbre-itrary, the leaders aim to build and bolster a strong community of student nature writers.
